
The Town of Merrimack's Annual 4th of July Parade is organized by the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department and is one of the largest Independence Day Parades in the State of New Hampshire. In 2024; we had 72 registered groups encompassing more than 1400 participants in the parade; making it the largest parade Merrimack has ever organized. The Parade features a wide range of bands, militia units, clowns, local businesses, community organizations and more.
NEW PARADE ROUTE FOR 2026
This year, the Parade route will be flipped from its traditional direction and will run in reverse. New for this year, parade participants will line up along O’Gara Drive, with the official starting point located near the Skateboard Park.
When the Parade begins, it will turn right onto Baboosic Lake Road and head toward the center of Town. The route will then take a left onto Daniel Webster Highway, traveling past the Post Office, before turning right onto Front Street.
The Parade will conclude in the Commons Shopping Plaza parking lot near Tractor Supply. The total parade route is 1.1 miles in length.

Parade lines up along O'Gara Drive with check in taking place near Merrimack High School (38 McElwain St) and ends at the Commons Shopping Plaza.(515 Daniel Webster Highway).
